Dr. Van de Vate continues as Professor of Composition
at the Institute of European Studies in Vienna.
(IES is a program for advanced students from US
colleges and universities who wish to spend a
semester or a year studying in Vienna). She also
continues as President and Artistic Director of the
CD recording company, Vienna Modern Masters.

The Music Collection of the Austrian National Library
has been archiving her musical materials (manuscripts
etc.) and professional correspondence for more than
ten years, an ongoing and permanent project.
Her operas "All Quiet On The Western Front", "Nemo:
Jenseits von Vulkania" and "Where The Cross Is Made"
were all broadcast several times in September and
October 2009 by Swiss Radio.
Four all-Van de Vate concerts were presented
in Vienna between May and December 2009.
On May 13, 2009, the Austrian National Library featured
her music in one of its annual series of concerts,
Musiksalon, devoted to those composers who are
included in their permanent archives. On October 24,
the 125-year-old Club der Wiener Musikerinnen,
presented a portrait concert of her chamber music.
On December 21, 2009, the Kunstverein Wien sponsored
an evening of scenes from her new opera "Hamlet" and
on the following evening a retrospective concert of her
works "Music from Six Decades".
Zsuzsana Leitner, a Hungarian trumpeter, wrote her
2009 graduation thesis for the University of Music and
Performing Arts on the subject of Van de Vate's music
for brass instruments.
